An event cannot run by itself! It’s happy, helpful volunteers that make all the difference in the world. So please, indicate where YOU can help out when you register. You may choose more than one area to volunteer for, and there will be space to communicate your preference. Volunteer descriptions below.
As an incentive for your time, you will receive a Volunteer Discount (not applicable to deposit or food service amounts) as follows:
$10 for 3 hours
$20 for 6 hours
$20 for over 6 hours (Yes, that’s right – you won’t get more than $20 off. However, you will get undying gratitude and an invitation to the staff party!)
All efforts will be made to spread your volunteer hours across the course of the weekend so they don’t interfere with your kinky fun. However, if there is something that you absolutely don’t want to miss, but fear you might, then mention this as soon as possible and we will see what we can do, provided a schedule change can be made. Your hours will be emailed to you at least one week before HAVEN so you can plan your play time accordingly.
VENDORS: You are more than welcome to volunteer, especially as a mentor to promote your most awesome products/services. However, if you are attending on the Vendor/Sponsor Pass where the price is already discounted, the Volunteer Discount will not apply.
NOTE: While we understand you are volunteering a portion of your HAVEN fun time to our cause, organizational requirements of such a fun-filled event mean we need a level of commitment on your behalf to stick to your schedule and tasks as given out by our coordinators.
Volunteer Descriptions (subject to change without notice)
Setup – 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday
(volunteers receive Auction Dollars for helping to setup)
Tear down – 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday
- Setup play party equipment
- Put up tents (to be determined)
- Loading, moving, and unloading heavy items
- Other general setup needs during the weekend – build and tend the bonfire, keep generators running, etcetera
Security – 24 hours

- Must be well-respected, assertive, and have sound judgement
- Ensure all rules are being followed
- Make sure all attendees are in fact registered
- Notify the Host of altercations when necessary
- Radio First Aid when necessary

Mentors – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday
(subject to approval)
- Informal hands-on mentoring and/or demoing on something specific (but may group similar things together)
- Mentors HAVEN would like to see (but not limited to): bondage, piercing, body drumming, flogging, whipping, caning, fire play, wax play, blood play, rough body play, massages, erotic play, other? Ideas welcome!
- Must be known in the local community you are from
- Must be knowledgeable about what you will be mentoring
- Please propose your mentoring session during registration
- Be prepared to give references
- Some supplies may be requested/provided
Food Service
- Attend a 30-minute orientation at HAVEN (time to be determined)
- Hand out marshmallows and wieners (preferably while topless or naked) – Friday at 7 p.m.
- Toast breads – Saturday and Sunday morning
- Cook (please indicate experience during registration)
- Serve food – all meals Saturday
- Bus tables – breakfast and dinner Saturday
- Wash dishes
- Other cleanup needs
Entertainers – 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday
(Volunteer subject to approval)
- Technical logistics to be confirmed, so mainly looking for musical talent that doesn’t have a lot of technical needs. For example, singer with acoustic guitar or primal drumming.
- Please give a detailed description during registration of what you will be performing
Spa Service – 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday

For those who like to serve, this is your opportunity. Whether it be massages, pedicures, manicures, facials – it’s all good! You don’t have to be a professional, but at least have some kind of experience serving in this kind of fashion. Some help with cost of supplies will be provided if needed
- Masseuse – sensual and/or relaxation, can be specific (e.g. foot massage, shoulder/back rub, etc)
- Esthetician – pedicure, manicure, facials
- Epilation – waxing or sugaring
Dungeon Monitors – 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights
(hopefully this is self-explanatory)
First Aid Station – 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday
(please indicate any experience during registration)
- Attend a 30-minute orientation at HAVEN (time to be determined)
- Provide First Aid at the First Aid Station
- Respond to First Aid call for help on the radio
- Must have Standard First Aid and CPR-A – certification available
- If you don’t have certification, training is available the weekend of July 24/25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the discounted cost of $75. You must attend both days. You can also re-certify at this time, but will have to sit through the full training and attend both days. Please indicate your need for re-/certification during registration. - Handout information and answer questions
- Check picture ID for name and age
- Attach wristband passes to attendees
- Collect signed waivers
Kinky Karnival – 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
(volunteers receive Auction Dollars)
The purpose of the Kinky Karnival is to have fun while earning Auction Dollars to – of course – bid on kinksters up for auction!
- Supervise kinkified carnival games
- Explain the game
- Demonstrate the game
- Assist the player by handing them whatever props they need to use
- Hand out Auction money as prizes
- Be PART of the kinkified carnival game (games to be determined)
- You may be humiliated, degraded, smacked, etcetera – all within reason
- Clothing is optional
- Example: wear the dildos for the dildo ring toss
Dom/Slave Auction
- Auctioneer
- Determine auction order
- Auction off participants using lots of personality and humour
- Auctioneer’s assistant
- Collect auction forms
- Organize participants offstage
- Collect payment in Auction Dollars and/or cash
